How to add social media links to your store

ScaleEdges stores your main social media links in one place so supported storefront components can reuse them.

Add your links

1. Sign in to your ScaleEdges dashboard.
2. Open Settings → Store.
3. Scroll to Social media.
4. Paste the full URL of each profile you want to display. Every link must start with https:// or http://.
5. Select Save settings.

The Store settings currently include Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, X, Mastodon, Bluesky, TikTok, Discord, Pinterest, Twitch, Kick, and LinkedIn.

Display the links in your footer

The global footer uses the links from Store settings by default. Because the footer is shared, it appears across your public store pages.

If the icons do not appear:

1. Open the Website Builder.
2. Select the global Footer block.
3. Open Social media.
4. Enable Show social media.
5. Enable Use the links from store settings.
6. Select Publish.

Changing a profile URL in Store settings updates the shared source used by the footer. You do not need to edit every store page separately.

Add a footer-only social link

The footer editor also has Add a social network. Use it when you want a link that belongs only to the footer instead of the shared Store settings.

1. Open the footer in the Website Builder.
2. Open Social media.
3. Select Add a social network.
4. Choose the platform and enter its complete URL.
5. Publish the site.

Store-level links take priority when the same platform is also added manually to the footer.

If a link does not save or display

• Make sure the URL includes https:// or http://.
• Check that Show social media is enabled on the footer.
• Check that Use the links from store settings is enabled if you expect shared links.
• Publish Website Builder changes; Save only stores a draft.
• Open the public store and test each icon after publishing.

Only components that support the shared Store social source update automatically. Components with their own manually configured links must be edited in the Website Builder.
