ScaleEdges subscriptions come with a 14-day money-back guarantee. Try a paid plan, and if it is not for you, ask for your money back within 14 days and we refund it in full. No form to fill in and no reason to give. This page explains exactly what that covers — and, separately, what happens when you buy a product from a store hosted on ScaleEdges, which follows different rules.
1. The 14-day guarantee
If you subscribe to a paid ScaleEdges plan or add-on, you have 14 days from the date of the charge to ask for a full refund.
It applies to:
- Your first payment for a Mover or Shaker plan, monthly or yearly
- Your first payment for a reduced transaction-fee option (3%, 1% or 0%)
- Your first payment for the ScaleEdges Videos add-on
- Any renewal charge, counted from the date that renewal was taken
You keep access to the paid features until the end of the period you paid for, or until you close your account, whichever comes first. We do not claw back what the plan let you do in the meantime.
We grant this guarantee to everyone, including business customers who would not have a statutory withdrawal right. It is our own commitment, not a restatement of the law.
2. What the guarantee does not cover
- Platform transaction fees already charged on completed sales. Those relate to sales you have made and been paid for, so they are not part of the subscription refund.
- Payment provider processing fees. Stripe and PayPal set and keep their own fees; we never receive them and cannot return them.
- Charges older than 14 days. After the window, cancel instead — see section 4.
- Accounts closed for a serious breach of the Terms of Service, such as selling infringing or illegal content.
- Repeated use of the guarantee on the same account to obtain paid features for free over and over. We may decline in that case, and we will explain why.
3. How to claim it
Email contact@scaleedges.com from the address on your account, say which charge you want refunded, and that is enough.
We confirm within 2 business days and issue the refund to the original payment method. Your bank or card issuer then takes its own time to post it — usually 5 to 10 business days. In any case, we issue the refund no later than 14 days after we accept your request.
Refunds are made in the currency of the original charge.
4. Cancelling instead of refunding
You can cancel a subscription at any time from your billing settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not refund the period you are currently in. You keep the paid features until that period ends, then move to the free Starter plan.
If you cancel and later ask for a refund of that last charge within 14 days, the guarantee still applies.
5. Your statutory right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK, the law gives you 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. Our guarantee is at least as generous, so in practice you can simply use it.
One legal detail worth knowing: for digital services that start immediately, the statutory right ends once performance has begun with your express agreement. We do not rely on that exception to refuse a refund inside the 14-day window — the guarantee in section 1 stands either way.
6. Products you bought from a seller's store
This is a different situation, and the rules are not ours to set. When you buy a digital product from a store hosted on ScaleEdges, your contract is with that seller, not with ScaleEdges. We host the store and process the payment on their behalf.
- The seller sets the refund policy for their own products, and decides whether to grant a refund. It is normally shown on their store or in your receipt.
- Contact the seller first. Their contact details are on their store page and in the email confirming your order.
- Sellers issue refunds from their dashboard, and the money returns to your original payment method through Stripe or PayPal.
As an EU or UK consumer, you generally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance purchase. For digital content downloaded or streamed immediately, that right ends as soon as delivery begins with your agreement — which is why most instant downloads are final. Your rights when a product is faulty, is not what was described, or is never delivered are separate and are not affected by any seller's policy.
If a seller does not respond, or you believe an order was fraudulent, write to contact@scaleedges.com. We cannot decide a dispute between you and a seller, but we can pass the request on, check that delivery actually worked, and act against a seller who is breaking our Terms.
7. Chargebacks
Please contact us before asking your bank to reverse a charge. A chargeback costs a fee and takes weeks; an email usually settles it the same day. If a chargeback is opened against a seller's store, we may suspend the related payout until the payment provider reaches a decision.
8. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, the version that applies to a charge is the one published when that charge was made. The date at the top of this page shows the current version.
