How to connect a custom domain with Infomaniak

Add the ScaleEdges DNS records to your Infomaniak domain's DNS zone.

Prepare the records in ScaleEdges

  1. Open Settings → Store → Custom domain in your ScaleEdges dashboard.
  2. Enter your domain name and select Connect domain.
  3. Wait for ScaleEdges to display the DNS records you need to create.
  4. Note the Type, Name, and Value of each record.

DNS is the address book that connects your domain name to the service hosting your website. An A record uses an IP address, a CNAME points to another domain name, and a TXT record contains a verification value. These records allow ScaleEdges to recognize your domain and display your store at the correct address.

Add the DNS records in Infomaniak

  1. Sign in to the Infomaniak Manager.
  2. Open Domains and select the relevant domain.
  3. Select DNS Zone from the sidebar.
  4. Select Add an entry.
  5. Choose the record type shown by ScaleEdges.
  6. In Source, enter the Name from ScaleEdges. Leave the field empty for the root domain when ScaleEdges shows @ or an empty name.
  7. In Target, enter the exact Value provided by ScaleEdges, then save the record.
  8. Repeat these steps for every required record.

The DNS zone shown by Infomaniak is active only when your domain uses Infomaniak's nameservers. If you use nameservers from another provider, add the records with the provider that manages your active DNS zone.

Verify the connection

After saving the records, return to ScaleEdges and select Check DNS configuration. DNS changes may take a few minutes to appear and can take up to 48 hours. HTTPS will be configured automatically after validation.

Keep your MX records if you use email addresses on this domain. Only change records for the hosts requested by ScaleEdges.
