How to create an affiliate program in ScaleEdges

Recruit partners, attribute sales through personal links, and track commissions from your dashboard.

The ScaleEdges affiliate program lets partners apply through a public store page and share a personal ?ref= link. Eligible sales are recorded with a commission in your dashboard.

Enable the program

  1. Open Marketing → Affiliates.
  2. Open Settings if the settings form is not already displayed.
  3. Enable Enable the affiliate program.
  4. Configure applications, commissions, tracking, and the signup form.
  5. Select Save affiliate program.

Enabling the program creates the public /affiliates page inside your store. On a standard ScaleEdges URL it is available at scaleedges.com/c/your-store/affiliates; on a custom domain it is available at your-domain.com/affiliates.

Choose how applications are approved

Under Applications, choose one of the following:

  • Accept everyone automatically immediately creates an approved affiliate using the default commission;
  • Review each application case by case places new applications in Pending until you approve or reject them.

For manual approval, you can use one default percentage or choose a percentage for each affiliate when approving them. Commission percentages must be between 1% and 100%.

You can also enable dashboard notifications for new affiliates or applications.

Configure attribution

Under Tracking, choose the commission scope:

  • Global attributes any eligible sale made after the affiliate visit, even if the customer buys a different product;
  • Per product attributes only the product targeted by the affiliate landing link.

Choose a 15-day or 30-day attribution cookie, or enter a custom duration. Standard plans allow up to 30 days; the Shaker plan allows a custom duration up to 365 days.

An affiliate does not earn commission on a purchase made with their own affiliate email address.

Configure the public signup form

The email address is always required. You can hide, make optional, or require the partner's name, handle, and PayPal email address. You can also:

  • allow an optional custom link slug or always generate one;
  • add up to five optional or required free-text questions.

Customize and publish the affiliate page

After enabling the program:

  1. Select Customize page or Edit the page in the Website Builder.
  2. Edit the fixed affiliate signup content and add regular blocks around it.
  3. Select Publish. Selecting Save alone only stores a draft.
  4. Use View public page to test the form.

The affiliate page is not automatically added to your header menu. Share its URL or add it to your navigation where you want visitors to find it.

Manage affiliates and commissions

Use the affiliate dashboard to:

  • approve or reject pending applications;
  • reactivate or delete rejected applications;
  • change an approved affiliate's commission percentage;
  • copy the affiliate's personal ?ref= link;
  • review clicks, attributed sales, revenue, and commissions due;
  • deactivate an affiliate;
  • mark due commissions as paid.

ScaleEdges records and calculates commissions but does not send affiliate payouts automatically. Pay the affiliate using your chosen method, then select Mark paid to update the commission status.
