How to permanently delete your ScaleEdges account

Prepare your data, verify your identity, and permanently delete your ScaleEdges seller account and store.

Deleting a ScaleEdges account is permanent. Your store will no longer be available, and deleted data cannot be restored.

Before you begin

Before requesting deletion:

  • download any files, exports, or information you want to keep;
  • notify your customers if closing the store will affect their access to your products;
  • make sure you are working in your own store in the dashboard;
  • enable two-factor authentication;
  • set up the owner's six-digit security PIN.

Only the store owner can delete the account. A team member cannot delete a store they collaborate on.

After the final confirmation, ScaleEdges cannot restore the account, store, or deleted files.

Delete your account

  1. Sign in to your ScaleEdges account.
  2. Open Account & security in Settings.
  3. If necessary, enable Two-factor authentication, save your backup codes, and create your Security PIN.
  4. Scroll down to Delete my account.
  5. Select Delete my account to open the confirmation window.
  6. Enter the exact email address displayed in the window.
  7. Enter your current password. If you sign in with Google or Microsoft, ScaleEdges will open a secure reauthentication window instead.
  8. Enter the code from your authenticator app or one of your backup codes.
  9. Wait for the ten-second security delay to finish.
  10. Select Permanently delete my account.
  11. Enter your six-digit security PIN in the next window to authorize the action.

When all checks succeed, ScaleEdges signs you out and returns you to the home page.

What is deleted

Account deletion removes, among other things:

  • your ScaleEdges sign-in identity;
  • your store, products, collections, and pages;
  • sales, orders, customers, and loyalty data associated with your store;
  • uploaded files and downloads offered by the store;
  • coupons, forms, and marketing settings;
  • team invitations, roles, and memberships linked to the account;
  • authorization for your custom domain, if you connected one;
  • any other active login sessions.

If you still have an active seller subscription, ScaleEdges first attempts to cancel it. If the payment provider does not confirm the cancellation, deletion stops and your account remains intact.

Payment providers may retain their own records under their policies and legal obligations. Deleting ScaleEdges does not automatically close an account you hold directly with an external payment provider.

ScaleEdges retains only a one-way cryptographic fingerprint of the deleted identity to prevent automatic account recreation. This fingerprint cannot be used to recover your email address.

If the deletion is rejected

Check that:

  • you are using your own store rather than a team member's workspace;
  • two-factor authentication and your security PIN are enabled;
  • the email address, authentication code, and PIN are correct;
  • your sign-in is recent—otherwise, sign out, sign back in, and try again immediately;
  • if you entered several incorrect codes, you have waited five minutes before trying again;
  • a temporary payment-provider error is not preventing subscription cancellation.

If the problem continues, contact ScaleEdges support before trying again.

Can I cancel the request?

You can close the confirmation window before approving the final action. After deletion, there is no technical grace period or automatic recovery.
